Health Tip: What is…Parvo?

Parvo is a highly contagious virus that causes gastrointestinal illness in puppies and young dogs, and it’s potentially deadly. 

Dogs between 6 weeks and 4 months old - who are unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated - are at most risk for contracting Parvo.

Certain breeds such as German Shepherd Dogs, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, English Springer Spaniels and American Staffordshire Terriers are at an increased risk of contracting Parvo, though veterinarians aren’t sure why.  Read more...
