If your dog gets carried around a lot, rarely goes outside or prefers walking on grass, you need to have her nails trimmed.
Dog nails that are too long are uncomfortable to walk on, and can cause back and hip problems. Try walking in high heel shoes with the heels under your toes – not very comfortable, right?
If dog nails are not kept in check, they can grow in a curl and impale the paw pads (Google some images of "long dog nails neglect"), and require a veterinarian’s care.
Maintain your dog’s foot health and keep her nails trimmed. If you don’t want to clip her nails, stop by Just Fur Pets; we trim nails on a walk-in basis.
