I came home from work one day to find my 10-year old Samoyed, Annie, standing on the clothes dryer. She had knocked the laundry basket onto the floor in front of the dryer and was unable to jump down; who knows how long she had been standing there!
A few days later, I arrived home and could not find her; I looked to see if she was on the dryer again, and instead found Annie standing behind the washer and dryer - again unable to get out.
A few weeks later, after an unusually slow pace to our morning walk, I took her to the vet. After many tests, she was diagnosed with hermangiosarcoma.
Had I known that behavioral changes could be an indicator of cancer, we may have caught it before it spread.
