We all love the snacks and treats that come with the fall holidays. And our furkids love it when we share these people-treats with them;-) If you do share with your dog, make sure the food item doesn’t contain any ingredients that may harm her. The artificial sweetener, xylitol, chocolate and raisins are just a few foods that are toxic to dogs. Choose wholefood treats to share – bits of turkey (no gravy or stuffing), small piece of hard cheeses (less fat than softer cheeses) and raw tidbits from the veggie platter make healthy and lower calorie treats for your favorite canine. If you’re unsure about ingredients and foods that may harm dogs, check out this list.
